Chill Out

Chill Out

As the weather starts to warm up, the masses are gearing up for summer activities and looking for ways to have some good quality downtime. You can actually relax wrong, being clicked into the real world, and having your phone at arm’s reach isn’t exactly the best way for you to totally shut down for a small amount of time. It has been shown that destressing the right way can help to boost your immunity, ward off heart disease and obesity plus when you’re calm, you perform tasks more efficiently and smarter.

First Step

It’s hard to fully relax when you are full of knots. Try progressive muscle relaxation by tensing the muscles in your toes for 5 seconds, relax for 30 and repeat, working your way up through your muscle groups up through your neck and head.

Train of Thought

Break your normal train of thought, call a friend, listen to music or do something that will make you jump out of your normal brain and get into a comfy relaxing brain. Even on your way home, set your relaxation affirmations and tell yourself that you are going to enjoy the things you are going to do when you get home. Fully enjoy cooking dinner or reading a book.

Shut Down

As was mentioned at the beginning, shut down all of your technology. You are never going to be able to fully shut down if a small part of your brain is curious about what is going on in your Facebook and Instagram feeds.

It’s hard to fully shut yourself off for a day, luckily there is Nutrair Relax. This personal aromatherapy diffuser is sure to make sure you are lulled into the sweet sense of relaxation as quickly as possible. The best thing we can do for our mental state is to indulge in self-care as often as possible. Take some time and read that book with a glass of wine on the patio, you’ve earned it.
